LCR-HEALTHCARE accompanies CPTS Velay Sud with its mobile cabinet
Since 20 April 2026, a medicobus has travelled the roads of the south of the Haute-Loire. Ported by CPTS Velay South and made possible by the MEDICOVAN This mobile medical firm finally provides a concrete response to medical desertification.
A rural territory facing medical desertification
Access to care in the south of the Haute-Loire has become more and more complicated, lack of doctors, geographical distance... For the inhabitants the situation had become critical: tens of kilometres to travel for a simple consultation of general medicine.
It is in this context that the CPTS Velay Sud carried out an ambitious project: bringing the doctor directly to the villages, thanks to a mobile medical bus.
The MEDICOBUS: mobile medical practice

In order to implement this project, CPTS Velay South has called on LCR-HEALTHCARE and its MEDICOVAN, a compact mobile health vehicle, fully equipped for general medical consultations in optimal conditions.
An operational medicobus in 3 communes
Since its launch on 20 April 2026, the MEDICOVAN has been stationed Monday to Friday in three municipalities in the territory: Pradelles, Landos and Costaros
The MEDICOVAN is a mobile medical practice designed for health professionals : confidential consultation space, on-board medical equipment, patient friendly interior. On board, volunteer doctors work in a space comfortable, ergonomic and functional, without compromise on the quality of the conditions of exercise.
